Dusk gives you a short, changing window where the sky and the building lights balance. We set up early, waited for the moment, and shot a run of frames as the light dropped.
The blue hour lasts about twenty minutes. Everything is set and metered before it starts, so that when the balance is right we are only pressing the shutter.
