The Whiteley

2024
The Whiteley

A landmark redevelopment behind a retained facade, photographed through a single day as the light moved across the interiors.

We shot the principal spaces from first light to dusk, following the sun through the atrium and into the residences. The brief was to keep the grandeur of the original building while showing the calm of the new interiors.

Every frame was balanced and finished in the studio so the set holds together across the brochure, the website and the press pack.

The brief

The interiors needed to read as warm and lived-in without losing the scale of the architecture. We worked room by room, waiting for the light to settle before each frame.

In the studio we balanced colour across the whole set, cleaned the small marks of a building still being handed over, and delivered a run of images that carry from a phone screen to a double-page spread.
